REBECCA HOBBS- MOVING IMAGE

DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO CREATE A FINAL SO MY MAJOR EXPERIMENT HAS JUST BECOME MY FINAL :(

MORE EXPERIMENTS!
This took such a long time, but am really happy with it!

RESPONSE
Today i really enjoyed the class task that we made. Thanks to the people that were in my group, we managed to come up with a very cool and creative way to complete the task all in one take.
I now know the meaning of diagetic sound and diagetic extras :)

DIAGETIC SOUND!

THESE ARE SHORT FILMS I WOULD LIKE TO USE AS A REFERENCE!

BULLSHIT!
Every single fucking video i made last night for my experiment has disappeared! I just finished watching them on my camera and then went to plug it into the computer to upload to my blogg...AND THEY ARE ALL GONE! FML!

HIGH LIGHT EG.
Makes you see everything, it's hard to hide stuff using the high light technique. Mainly used in sitcoms, soap opera's.

LOW LIGHT
you can hide stuff using the low light technique. Mainly used when pointing out a dodgy person or criminal. Used in the sitcom 'The Sopranos'.

RESPONSE
This afternoon i went and experimented with my kapa haka people. I sat them down one by one and filmed them whilst asking questions. I also got snipits of them singing. It was quite difficult as some of them couldn't take it seriously! However, i will upload what i did get tomorrow at uni :)

STORY BOARD/SHOT LIST!

This is EXACTLY what my documentary for moving image will be like! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf-8LuHCsfM

My video will include the Kapa haka group performing like this. I want to use panning techniques, close ups. Very similar to this video…

I WANT MY MOVING IMAGE TO BE SHOT IN JUST BLACK AND WHITE
i think that it looks more capturing, the idea is more raw and obvious. Everyone is seen as almost being the same. no judgement on colour!

If you watch this video, having it be in black and white it seems so much more real. It feels like there is more emotion.

  1. we are in week four and it is formative feedback time, your Blogger should document the class tasks and approx. 18 hours of self-directed work thus far; research, experimentation, evaluation, application, contextualization, hobbs
